Sheet Vinyl


Vinyl sheets allow for ease of installation, carefree maintenance, overall durability, and value. Its versatility and water resistance account for its widespread use in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, etc. Vinyl stands up to moisture, heavy household traffic, and active families and pets.

SHEET VINYL


  • Never requires waxing, and you can simply wipe away scuff marks and food spills with a damp paper towel
  • Usually sold in 12 foot wide rolls
  • There are two types of construction identified by the type of backing used:
    • Felt – most popular choice.  Felt backed vinyl adheres directly to the subfloor.
    • Fiberglass – this is a newer construction that provides a more resilient, cushioned feel underfoot, and has more installation options. It provides greater dimensional stability, meaning the fiberglass lays flat, will not curl, and can be installed without glue.  

While the top layers of construction are the same for both felt and fiberglass backed vinyl sheet.

Protective Top Coat


  • Generally urethane or another high performance top coat. This provides ease of maintenance by resisting scratches and scuffs.

Protective Clear Vinyl


  • Enhances performance and adds durability by protecting against rips, tears, and gouges. The thicker the protective clear vinyl layer, the more durable your floor will be.

Printed Vinyl Design Layer


  • Designed with the rotogravure printing process which allows an array of patterns and designs in vinyl sheet flooring.
