I See Carpet Labelled PET.  Is This Pet Friendly Carpet?

It is rather confusing.  PET refers to the fiber Polythylene Terephalate.  It is by nature a more moisture resistant fiber so therefore naturally more stain resistant.  It does not mean it is specifically designed as a pet friendly carpet, but is an excellent choice as chemicals tend to not be absorbed.  So by the properties of the fiber the stain and soil resistance is rated highly.  Added protection of some chemicals do give some carpets warranties against certain pet stains.  PET is a very economical product for the benefits it provides.
