I am looking for the most durable flooring for my house.  What do you recommend?

We are asked this question all the time and the answer is not that easy.  Many factors will determine the best flooring solution for you.  A type and style of flooring for one household may not be the best solution for another.  Best advice is to discuss your needs with the flooring expert.  Your family situation, lifestyle and even esthetics will determine the type of flooring you should consider.  An active family with children may require a different solution than an individual living in a condo.  All flooring types have better, highly rated, durable products.  The solution to getting the best flooring for your situation is to first think of what you want from the floor.  Is it ease of maintenance, scratch and dent resistance, warmth and comfort under foot, somewhat pet proof?  Durability as well as maintenance means different things to different people.  Talk it through and you will get the most appropriate flooring.
